This is the perfect cupcake recipe to make if you are suddenly having to host a few kids over for a play date as most children love chocolate and these are super quick to make. Both my children often help me make this as they love licking the spoon after. If you are a chocolate lover then you would adore this recipe. My advice is to always use good quality chocolate when making this.
I have been on instagram for many years now and and if you do pop over, you would see that I tend to post a lot of food photo or food related photos. I obtained this recipe from an insta friend called @nat_kanoon who was kind enough to share it with me and have been making this ever since. So hope you give this recipe a go too
Here’s a short youtube video on how to make the Chocolate Chip Cupcake.

Ingredients
- 200g Fine dark chocolate
- 200g Castor Sugar
- 200g Butter
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 75g Self raising flour
- A Handful of chocolate chips (For decoration)
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 175C. Then Add the chocolate chip, butter, milk and sugar in a bowl and melt using bain marie technique (add bowl above a pot of boiling water). I have an induction stove top so I have used a pan and melted this on heat level 4.

2. Cool slightly

3. Then whisk in eggs and vanilla.

4. Fold in the flour which has been mixed with a pinch of salt

5. Fill fairy sized cupcakes with batter or use a 2lb loaf tin

6. Add a few chocolate chips on the top for decoration (optional)

7. Bake the cupcakes in oven for 12-15 minutes or for 30-35 minutes if you use a 2lb loaf tin.
