Mary Berry‘s Chocolate Fork Biscuit recipe is my go to recipe when I am having a group of kids over for a playdate and want to keep them busy as it only takes about 10 minutes to make and another 10 minutes to bake (whilst you clean up). This recipe is super quick, has only about 5 ingredients and you get the chocolate fix that you need. Best of all, you can get your kids to make this for you.
I often make this with my own children during the school holidays and it has become one of our favourite goto recipes. I love reading cookbooks and this is something I picked up from my mum when I was young. Growing up in Malaysia mum’s favourite places was the bookstore and she used to spend hours browsing the cookbooks whilst I read a book next to her. MPH Bookstore was one of our favourite haunts, this was the time when free-reading was not frown upon.
So whenever I get the chance, I do take my kids to our local library to spend some time picking up books and this is where I discovered Tanya Bakes Cookbook by Tanya Burr. I just randomly picked up the book and flipped the pages and the Mary Berry Chocolate Fork Biscuit Recipe just stood out for me. In fact I borrowed the book, we came home and tried the recipe the next day and it was a winner!
So hope you enjoy making this recipe, the little hands are my childrens’ who love helping me in the kitchen as they get to eat the treats after.
Here’s a youtube video of how to make this delicious biscuits which taste amazingly chocolately.

Notes
Now with any baking using good quality ingredients is paramount. So although this recipe is super easy to make, do use good quality butter and cocoa powder.
